Photographers Note
The weather is changing so fast in April, and still uncertain ; that same day, the afternoon was sunny and warm...
The fresh layer of snow is erasing the many changes that Göreme has seen recently ; this mainly farmers' village is continuing to be developed fast ; "boutique hotels" are appearing everywhere, changing dramatically the general view of the village with their clean, whitish neat stone facades with plenty of "kibar", elegant details that have not much to do with this former (and still) peasants village, whereas the old houses are generally more yellow (unless they have been white washed) and are less lavishly decorated (except a few ones, who have interesting and typical ornements around the entrance doors or windows).
The snow is also hiding the new red roofs of the new houses covered with tiles, which are also contributing to the changes of the general view of the village...

Yeah! That is one weird town... in the best sense of the word! How unusual with all the little pinnacles! Great capture!

This is what I didn't see, Cath. The first images that I saw from Capadocia with snow, impressed me very much, because it changes completely the landscape. The diferences of tempereatures along the year are amazing, since it's so hot in summer. And you say April - With all this snow!
Anyway, this one attracted me, because it seems almost the POV from my lodge. Gorgeous magic place.

p.s.- I made a workshop, just for fun. I tried to add contrast to enhance the shapes and colors although that resulted on more noise as well...I'm not an expert, anyway.

Je trouve cela étonnant de voir ce paysage dans un ciel gris, sous la neige. Grosse ambiance, bien triste, bien grise... Mais grosse ambiance quand même.
