Photographer’s Note
The Place du Tertre in Montmartre is usually teeming with tourists. But early in the morning, the artists are just setting up their easels and the outdoor cafes are deserted and it is very quiet and peaceful. This gentleman has finished his setup and is waiting, with a cup of coffee in hand, for the tourists to arrive to buy his paintings.
This is, I think, the last in my series on outdoor cafes - at least for the moment.
Technical: a bit of cropping, contrast and saturation applied (especially to the bright area in the upper right, to tone its brightness down), the painter's face was desaturated slightly, and the image was sharpened.
