Photographer’s Note
The dominant feature of the town "Chlum u Trebone" is the Baroque Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, which towers on the hill above the pond. The church was built on the layout of the Greek cross in 1745 and it is a copy of the pilgrimage church in Mariazell (Austria). Three aisles and the sacristy were added in 1805. The furnishings are in the Baroque style.
This photo is composed out of two, where the second was taken with -2 EV. Utility called "Photomatix" was used in order to apply the technique of tone mapping. Noise is reduced by sw.
As well as all my other photos, also this one is snapped on film and scanned by film scanner.

This is great, looks almost like a painting! I love the dramatic sky and great POV. I am unaware of what photomatix is, have not come across this before?

Wow, that certainly is an HDR Jiri. It has a painted feel becuase the contrast range is so full throughout the image.
Great details and a nice 'powerful' composition with the building almost standing over the viewer.
Nice work
Craig
PS Check out the work of 'Alana' your image reminds me of her proessing style

this is great. i can see that photomatix is very effective in this photo. why does the tip of the church appear dark? could it be that you apply too much (or too little) strength in photomatix?

There is an overall grey-scale coloration that adds to the mood created by the storm clouds above the church. The POV and beautfiul contrasting colors is wonderfull. Well done.

Hi Jiri, excellent view of the old church. The dark sky makes a very well suited dramatic effect. Nice modest colors. Well done. Cheers, Michael

I think you have done a good job here using HDR. I'm not a huge fan of this technique because usually most peopleoverdo it and end up with totally unrealistic images. But here, you have used restraint and it has paid off.

Hello
Great perspective and impressive sky. This makes a feeling of a very nice, a bit mysterious mood.
