Photographer’s Note
Old bicycles are not a hobby of mine but it was interesting poking around these old bikes on display at a small bicycle museum in Walton Gardens near Warrington.
This bike, known as a bone shaker due to it's solid wooden wheels and hard tyres was one of many on display.
If you are interested in old bicycles I would recommend this place. It's free to look around and the guy running it is friendly and helpful. He even has a Sinclair C5, remember those?!?

This is one of my favorites that I have seen of yours. Of course, your portrait work is my all time favorite still, but this is wonderful.
The texture is delicious and the DOF is magic. It's a little frightening and humorous at the same time. The subjects era falls just outside the real memories of any contemporaries. That fact gives it a suspicious undercurrent of not truly knowing the reality of it's era. Loved it. Thank you.
