Via Stockalper Photo

Photographer’s Note

The track is called Via Stockalper and goes from Brig to Gondo over Simplonpass. Very beautiful to walk. It takes you two or three days. It's a very old track, where even the napoleon-soldiers passed. But Napoleon wasn't there.

Hello Joachim.
Very beautiful forest photo. I like the background light on the trees. great with the sunlight through the mist. Maybe, in my opinion, the water is a litlle overexposed (but you can't have it all, can you?) Still a very good photo. Thanks for sharing.

Ein tolles Foto dieses historischen Weges! Der sonnendurchflutete Nebel - toll! Eine herrliche Lichtstimmung. Ich kenne den Simplon nur durch die Windschutzscheibe - leider, wie Dein Foto bekräftigt! Wie sagt man hier auf TE? "Well done!"

This is a charming scene, beautifully lit to show the highlights of the rock and bridge. The misty effect gives great atmosphere too. I find that this kind of scene is difficult to photograph successfully, but this result is great.
