Photographer’s Note
An area of Ticino where my parents grew up,before they came to America in the 1920s. Wonderful old churches and homes, a really nice region to visit.

Hi Jim,
very nice postcard of Valleverzasca! I like the contrast between the hard gray of stone's houses and the red of garden's flowers.

Hello Jim. I lived in Switzerland almost three years long and I travelled then several times to Ticino. I liked to do it a the beginning of springtime or the end of summer when the weather was cold in the North (I lived at the Lake of Constance) and almost Mediterranean in Ticino. There I visited more places like Ascona and the "Lago Maggiore" or Lugano.
The beautiful town here remembers me some that you can find in Spain in the Pirynees with houses of stone and roofs of slate. The colors of your photo are very "Swiss", elegant and leveled. I like the composition too. The "V" shape of the mountains converges on the center of the town and enhaces the tower.
Switzerland is a wonderful country. I hope you can visit often the land of your parents.
