This is the bone pit in the San Francisco Monastery right in the center of Lima. Some archeologists say that over 25.000 people were buried in its catatumbs. Unforntunely I don´t have a clue about how deep is this pit...

For sheer freakish ingenuity this pic warrants a look. It's just a pity it isn't more sharply in focus, and that red pamphlet or whatever does distract attention from an otherwise macabre scene.

wow, iteresting!! I have never seen such thing like this. Thanks for sharing it with us. Nice picture. The quality of the picture doesn't weigh much in a picture like this. I like it!! all long bones here are just humerus and femur. Amazing!
