Photographer’s Note

La Meije is a famous peak of the Ecrins range, culminating at 3983m. Its ascend by Boileau de Castelnau and Gaspard in 1877 was considered as a major achievement since many previous attempts failed before.
The ridge traverse is a famous alpinism climb, considered by many local climbers as the most beautifull in the region!
In winter, the snowy peak "Meije Orientale" (at the left) is a great summit for backcountry skying.
Although it can be skied from the top, when snow conditions are good enough, we usually leave the skis at the Rimaye before climbing the summit.

Climbing from the Glacier du Tabuchet makes you enjoy this landscape during hours, before reaching the Rimaye. I Hope you enjoy it as I did.

I do enjoy it, very much...
It's a great view and because of the two persons, it gives an incredible sense of depth. I like the sharp colour contrast as well, the blue sky against the snow. It's a rather funny looking mountain, with some weird shapes, but that's nature...

Love the path leading us into the shot. Great composition and angles. I think your snow is a bit dark though - I've done a workshop - what do you think?

Hello Clement, amazing dof in your pic..it's a great mountain landscape..well balanced..compo, saturation and contrast are nice too.

j'ai raté cette image et je suis passé à coté d'un joli moment de contemplation. elle se mérite cette Meije Orientale, une vraie bavante mais quelle recompense une fois en haut !!
tres joli cliché avec cette trace qui nous amène droit sur le grand pic

des routes qui se croisent, pour quelques instants ou plus, selon les conditions... Bravo pour cette belle composition, très bien pensée. J'aime cette pente, qui donne tout la dimension à l'image. Magnifique ciel également. Bravo !
