| I originaly took this in raw but when I converted it to jpeg it lost alot of quality. If any could tell me the best way to convert an image to jpeg without loosing to much quality I would appreciate it. I have croped this photo & sharpened it a little after resizing, but that's all. |

hi andrew, sorry, i do not do raw so much, cannot help you there. the quality loss was already there before the resizing?
i would say the photo turned out really great, the dark atmosphere is terrific and the pov along the old poles creating an enormous depth absolutely fantastic.
good job & take care, thor.
Hi Andrew!
Was the raw looking good on your camera or on your screen? ;-)
I'd advise to use a plugin or standalone program for the raw conversion, since that gives more options to work on the raw. Silkypix for example.
Nice picture nevertheless! Dennis
Hello Andrew,
Congratulations on this spectacular shot, one of the best I've seen at Trekearth as an example demonstrating one-point perspective (where parallel lines appear to converge at a single point on the horizon line). The composition and perspective, light and shadows, color and resolution are all excellent. I will adopt it as a favorite as soon as I free-up some room among my "favorites."
Warm regards,
Bulent
