Hi Norbert
This is an impressive view from an impressive 100-shot series. The colours glow in the sunlight and the contrasts are very pleasing. It's always a pleasure to see pictures from this fabulous area and this one is stunning, with the dusting of the snow and the reflections in the water being superlative.

Bonsoir Norbert,

Bravo !

Hi Norbert
A place I know well.
What richness lies in your drawer,a neverending string of beauty.
The composition is solid with the light at just the right that completes the construction for a better balanced photo.
Your photos are always a joy to watch.

Wow - 100 shots from one travelogue. I guess you must have liked it! I may be biased, but I think few places can match the Canadian Rockies for photographic potential. And yet I read an interview of David Alan Harvey, who is a photographer for National Geographic among others, and he said that he was sent on assignment to Western Canada and found it his most difficult place to shoot. I guess that's proof that different people are inspired by different things. I like the big sweeping curves of this, which are made even better by the reflection. Great work!

Hi Norbert. That's a great job of fitting that huge scene into there at 18mm considering you didn't have your wide angle back then. That's some light you had kissing the mountains. Naturally the reflections are awesome. Fantastic work Norbert!!

A beautiful addition to your travelogue, Norbert. Due to the reflection it has a nice fractal-like thing to it. The tonality and rendition of the textures is superb and the P121 did its thang again. Very nice and very appealing.
Have a nice weekend,
Bert

Bonjour Norbert,
superbe photo, à la compo très équilibré, où le brun - vert coloré de droite répond au noir et blanc de la roche enneigé à gauche. TFS!
Bonne journée,

These landscapes of yours are allways astonishing, Norbert. Even without people (in fact I can see some on the other margin), I can watch this image for a long time: the colors, the reflections, the game of light and shadow, so well managed, everything is perfect. Love that contrast bettween the north rocky snowed face and the sunny green part at right. Just amazing!

Hi Norbert
I never get tired of the Canadian Rockies. I like the arrow shaped v on its side formed by the reflection of the green & yellow trees. Superb sharpness & colour. Tfs!

Hi Norbert,
I find little time to stay in fron of the computer at the hotel where I stay, and this is one of the rare occasions. I found your
new posting of Lake Agnes, which is so good that it deserved to be sent among your first postings. Of course climbing 365 meters is not an easy feat for everybody, and the picture
deserves even more praising for the efforts you did.
Getting back on Monday.
Friendly regards - Izzet

How fresh a photo can be?
How much can i yearn for being in such a place now?
People on the right shore add a lot to the grandeur of this majestic nature, presented incredibly beautifully by you. Hope to be able to travel to some wild nature like that some day, maybe after retirement (some 40 years later, lol)
Thanks for sharing.

The beauty of the Canadian Rockies is well represented, Norbert. You're really making me to think going there ASAP. The symmetry in the refelctions is wonderful and I especially like the placement of the small group of hikers breaking the element of symmetry. The sun exposed area brings light into the otherwise rather dark shot. You managed well the light balance in the snow area avoiding well the overexposure trap.

Have a great sunday.
Daniel.

Hello Norbert,
The Banff is a very popular place for shooting pictures, because of it's beauty.
It's a stunning view you have captured and I especially like the light in it, which seems natural. The reflection gives the picture a good sense of depth, how it's arrow like shape leads the eye to the end of the ravine.
Thanks,
Christian

As always, your works of the national/state parks are eye candies Norbert. This one is a tad different; we could see trekkers making their ways along the trail at right. It goes with your note about the strenuous hike to get here.
