Ladies & Gentleman the Messiah is here, and his name is David.
This guy is walking around the streets of Tel-Aviv with this huge sign "The Messiah" (in Hebrew) on him.
I've been trying to get this guy on camera for about 3 months since I first saw him, but whenever I saw him my camera was absent. But luck stroke this Friday when I was walking to the sea and he was there. Obviously I was a bit nerves taking his shot, but he was so excited – he asked me to post it wherever I can (he even said internet, though I'm not sure he meant TE). He said that he is the messiah and no one takes him seriously (although the big sign saying he is). I don't like the shot in itself and that's why I've tried this PP, but I'm glad I caught him and can share this revelation.

Hope you like it, any comments are welcome

Tech: Blurred the background and converted to B&W , I tried to give him a more "holy" look

Hi omri, not sure he qualifies for messiahship... but your shot is spot on. i like the dream effect induced by your blurred and desturated ws...bravo for the shot and the ws.. superb pic... at least someone was willing to give some credit: 2 points!...;-)lol

Lucky you or him? I think he could make a good topic for a complete documentary, could you spare some time to follow him : I think there should some very interesting images ops such as daily life seen through a wannabe messiah eyes.

Even though I'm not personally attracted to religion stuff, a man with a pink balloon cannot be really bad ;-)))

Great effect on the B&W conversion, and also an interesting story that goes along. I think that every city in the world, nowdays, has its own ghosts wandering around, prisoners of their own minds. Good reminder and also very appropriate as a decisive moment but also as representative of XXI century daily life.

Where is his white donkey? Nice idea !

hi Omri, nice image, interesting guy, his pink ballon in incredible. nice compo, but 1cm to the left wouldn't harm. one big flaw imo: the background blurred in PS - not natural, i see different colour edges around the guy - i am sure it took you quite a while to do it in PS ;) nice shot, but next time try to avoid such blurring ;)

Hi Omri,
This is agreat shot!!!
The pink balloon looks very strange in the Messiah's hand, and it adds a lot to this funny and strange picture. Where exactly was that? I have been at the beach at the same day, but I didn't see him..
Dis he have a white donkey as well?

ery well seen and captured.

You sure gave this 'holy man' his '20 minutes of fame', Omri ;-) Nice pic: well chosen central compo and good choice do pp the background - it makes the man really stand out. The icing on the cake is the pink balloon - its symbolism is beyond me ;-) Great shot!

Nice effects! The thumbnail is not very spectacular but the larger version is very nice. The contrast of the pink balloon and the rest of the photo is well managed. You did the blurring of the background very well!

a man with a pink ballon cannot be holly :)...I loved your picture and his seriousness in his ambition...very nice picture though I am not sure about the blurring of the background..it is very difficult to do this when there are thin objects in between like the string of the balloon, hair, tree tops etc..it needs very neat layering..but whatever, this is a great picture with great notes from a holly place..:) thanks..

He looked religious enough to be the Messiah except the pink balloon is definitely not the kind of article he wanted to be associated with in the first place. Who would take anyone with a pink balloon seriously.Maybe he's just being funny.
By the way, there's a sort of soft glow around him especially on his shoulders. I think he would appreciate this potrait of his.
