Photographers Note
The Empire State Building seems to always be there when I'm walking the streets. I work just five blocks south, so when I'm coming or going, I just have to look up.
I've been using the in-camera high saturation, sharpness, and contrast to get pictures like this - otherwise the biuldings in the background disappear.
This shows the congestion - a large truck, shadows of cranes and other buildings - reflections off glass - without a single person. The lightness of the Empire State Building (which is reflecting sunshine) makes it easier to take.

A wonderfully distinguished view. I love the shades of gray that you have portrayed here, and the forest of angular edges. Nice composition.
