[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another picture from the beautiful Georgian city of Bath. Bath was first occupied by the Romans in 65 AD who build a sacred bathing complex and a town and named it Aquae Sulis. They stayed till around the year 400. Bath's image is raised by the visits of royals and other nobles and the building of several impressive building complexes and the Abbey. The famous novelist Jane Austen came in 1801 and stayed several years and the atmpsphere of Bath is described in her books. The world's first letter with a postage stamp was sent from Bath's Post Office. In 1987 it was designated as a World Heritage Site.

Bath's buildings have been cleaned in their vast majority. An occasional 'dirty' building may be spotted like here in the photo where you can see it next to a clean building. The black colour is due to pollution (mainly from vehicles).
