| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| In Zanzibar a traditional spice tour is a must. The guides love to play "guess the spice". They're always amused by the "mzungu" who never seem to know what they're looking at. This is the nutmeg fruit. The nut is dried and used by Zanzibari women as an aphrodisiac, since, as muslims it is against their religion to consume alcohol. |

Hi, I never would have guessed either! A nice shot with an interesting note. Regards, Jean
Great shot. Thank you for the photo. I always had a different imagination of this fruit. I'm a physician and we have a term called "Nutmeg liver". I've seen the pathology but could not guess how the fruit is. Now I understand it better. Thanks.

Beautiful shot, is the fruit portion also consumed?
