Paria River Canyon is a beautiful and calm place in good weather, but dragon can awake after rains...

The Paria River is a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 75 mi (121 km) long, in southern Utah and northern Arizona. For most of the year, the water is only a few inches deep although fast flowing and quite muddy, but various different levels of deposited sand and pebbles testify to the occasional ferocious floods - even in wide section, the river can evidently reach a depth of several feet and be many meters across. For a short time in early summer the river may be completely dry, due to lack of rain and/or upstream damming of the flow.

If you try, you can see a sleeping dragon of the Paria in the reflection :-)

This really isa very catchy photo, I don't really understand the connection between the title and the photo. I can tell there is something but I can't see it clearly. None the less a great idea.
The use of colours, light and reflection in this photo is just excellent.
A simple use but very effective.

Well, I don't see the dragon but I can see a great picture!
I like the colors passing from gowing red at the top to dark, cold blue at the bottom.
The person in the background helps understanding the scale of this canyon. Excellent choioce of the focale, it gives dynamic to the picture.

Very attractive shot. Hard to get a good exposure in this highly contrast shot. Good colors. Including this man in your photo you nicely shoe use the size of place.

Great photo. A little could be cropped from the bottom, but otherwise I find it to be captivating. The silhouette and its reflection are great. This photo should have more reviews. Just goes to show that TE has its cliques

Excellent capture. Colours and the reflection are simply fantastic. The person in the background deffinitely adds to the picture. We can't see the top part of the canyn but it's reflected in the water which makes it visible but not in its natural form so to speak. That's what I think makes the shot so interesting. Great work here.

Very attractive from Color and the location perspective Vladimir. The theme name is quite good as well. I should probably visit all the picture. Having a person into the frame gives a good idea about the location as well. Sharp, colorful and beautiful picture.

Wow, this photo definitely is under-appreciated! I can totally see the sleeping dragon there, figuratively of course. Makes me wanna swim in that amazing water, but quietly not to wake up the beast :) Apart from great colors, I love the composition and the lack of any symmetry.

Utah is certainly reserving us a lot of surprise but it needs a good expertise and fantasy to create a composition like this one. The colours and the reflections are something which one cannot imagine. First class.
