Photographer’s Note
This is the second industrial shot. Alas no great luminosity here, but as a compensation I offer you much gritty, greasy and well seasoned detail.
Depicted is the drive work of an old diesel shunting locomotive. It’s decommissioned, standing under an old crane on the emplacement of the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam.
Details as the red drive rod, distributing traction force to the wheels, the spoked, not solid wheel and the absence of welded parts give the high age of this loco away.
Well, I guess I also sneaked in another railroad pic here ;-)
The title of this pic is an old Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel song . While editing this pic, a playlist of this seventies band was on my MP3 player.
PS-E2 tech: levels adjusted, saturation adjusted (master- boosted, reds-toned down) sharpened (whole pic & sleceted parts with the brush), fill flashed some dark shadow parts, frame added and saved for the web

Great capture of this fine old train - rich of details and with an execellent sharpness and contrast. I must check your first industrial shot right after - thanks for sharing Bert.

Yes Bert, mean on my bank account! Very strong detailed close up of this loc. I like the range of colors that can be seen here, the bold bolts ;-), the rust, the green of the moss, the Steltons, overall the heavy and strong, (wo)man made structure. Great picture, I feel, I'll have to respond to Risto's critique and your answer. ;-)

Wow! Fantastic detail today, Bert! ;-)
Lovely sharp image with gorgeous colours and textures. I like the way you included in composition even a tiny dry leaf, peeping under one of the wheels. Excellent capture!

I like this great red and black. The textures are very nicely captured, too. It does have a nice, gritty, feel to it. The dirt and grease and the worn but maintained parts. Nicely captured detail here. Good job.

Well, this one is very good again for your series, Bert. Great colors and fine "heavy-metal" details on this close-up of the engine. The mossy green on the cobblestone looks interesting, too. Good choice of the diagonal angle, and technically impeccable as usual. Very nice!

L'angle de prise de vue est très bien choisi Bert. J'aime les couleurs détaillées et la roue rouillée.
Merci pour la note.
Très bien fait Bert.
L'angle of catch of sight is very quite selected Bert. J'aime detailed colors and the rusted wheel. Thank you for the note. Very well done Bert.

Les trois teintes principale ici donne beaucoup de gaité a l'image et sont trés bien rendues de par le contraste.
J'aime bien les détails de la mecanique qui retient ici le regard.
Bravo Bert

That's a powerful one. Strong shapes and "lighting" thick red diagonal. Excellent industrial shot, very well composed. You got incredible details here, but also much different textures with old glossy red, rough black, crisp rust and even green grass. You captured this close up very well with an excellent crop and your legacy clarity and sharpness. I could imagine the quality of your pictures if you once buy a new cam. ;-). Very well done Bert, so we want more ;-).

Deze lock staat al een paardagen stil Bert, mooi detail van dit gedeelte, de kleuren zijn zo echt, mooi gedaan Bert. Ik ben ook op de opendeurdag geweest met oude machines, maar mij serie is niet goed geslaagd.

Beautiful contrast and industrial detail. The red color has a strong impact, especially in this context. Good quality, crisp and clear composition. Excellent work!
I made a workshop, just playing around with the picture. Hope you like it.
