[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ta Prohm is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries. Located approximately one kilometer east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was built by King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most of the other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors.

I had been away for a few weeks because of work and small kitchen remodeling projects. Pardon me if I’m rather slow in responding to your critiques and comments. I need a lot of catching up.

Hi Danilo!
Good shot of my favourite temple in the Angkor region.I like your composition with the diagonal at the left side and the woman in front of this huge tree, which is typical for this place.
Maybe I`ll be there again next winter.

Hi Danilo,
beautiful picture.he atmosphere is one of teh old days, time stood still. If you make a sepia exposure, it could have been 100 years ago.
The tree is fantastic.
Regards, Gerrit

Gorgeous image, Danilo. The vendor seems to walk somewhere between a dead past and a living present. She could be serving the ancient rules of Angkor, or she could be searching for for contemporary tourists. She seems to galvanize the spirits of the place, be they ancient or modern. Best, -Hugh

Hola Danilo.
Welcome back. Beautiful temple captured with a good point of view, the architecture has great dark colors giving a sense of mysterious place, the vendor add to your shot.
Well done. TFS.

Hello Danilo,
Good lead-in to the buildings, and a very appealing composition!
The vendor is captured in the right moment, and adds a human touch to this out of the world place...
Good colour contrast, and the walkway brightens the scenery!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Danilo,
very well captured and nicely framed shot of this fantastic place of a mystique atmosphere. You did well to include the woman, adding scale and vitality to the pic. At the same time missing the sky, focuses the attention on this marvel. Well done!
Tfs and best wishes.

Very peaceful shot, very well composed with the woman, the tree and the ruins crossing in diagonal. Well done.

Hello Dan,
The ruins tells the history history of the place ....very interesting. The growth of the big tree just compliments the age these ruins. Well captured and portrayed. Excellent!
Regards,
Renier

ps -- hope the renovations was successful.

You have chosen a different angle to show us this popular temple as mostly we see the view with the strangler roots. I like you were able to include a local person and not just tourists. Well done
Kath

Olá Danilo, nice capture of the vendor in this well known fascinating place. It surprises me how all the photos I see from here, are not packed with tourists, but I guess that this is a huge place...Good framing, although it would be nice to see the vendor a bit closer.
Best regards,
Ricardo

danilo,

this is an artistic photo... it gives justice to the history of the place by capturing the crisp details of the ruins... the tree on the right corner transfixed my eyes... i could see it behind the vendor but i can also see it as "cornerstone" of the ruins. tfs! thumbs up!

Hello Danilo,
An interesting pov here with the path leading the ye towards the steps and the massive tree trunk. The lady walking towards the camera adds a nice touch and gives a sense of scale to the architecture.

Hello Danilo
One of the most beautiful pictures I've seen of Ta Prohm. Not the usual strangler fig which we all go overboard in photographing, but you show us a view refreshingly different. Very well composed with the local vendor with the backdrop of the ruins & the tree
Regards
Angshu

Beautiful "street" scene in the wonderful setting of these ruins, the passing woman and the big tree are the right subjects to avoid that this is a boring image, well done Danilo, compliments.
have a nice week

Hi Danilo
very well captured and good compo ,colours.I like this photo.

hi Danilo, good composition , dark coloures and exotic temple make this shot litlle brrrr.
Marjan

Hi Danilo,

It's always good to drop by your gallery. Your stuff is never boring. I like this image a lot, yet I think that dark and bright are competing for attention, maybe toning down the brightness on the path a little bit can help balancing the image. Just an idea...

Hi Dsanilo,
I agree with John, the almost emaciated woman coming out of the ruins gives the feeling of a ghost image. Your spooky image is well-framed with a nice diagonal between the woman, the tree and the temple. Wonderful detail in spite of very difficult light, The bit of tree and the grass add the only bit of color to the suitable spooky monotones.
HLJ, Pat

Hello Danilo. An interesting and worth seeing photo . Fascinatingly this plant is to be seen. In your photo the mysterious becomes visible. The woman in the picture represents the relative importance. Exemplary. Best regards, Wolfgang.
