Photographer’s Note
This is another picture from my hometown Bodoe. Looking towards the city centre with the beautiful Boervasstindan in the background. The cold blue light in the hour after sunset; a gift to a photographer...

Hello Jon,
Welcome to TE. This is a lovely photo of yur hometown, and clearly, with a Canon 20D and a tripod for this shot, you know very well what you are doing. The composition is first rate, and so is the exposure. The details are as sharp as obsidian, and the colors beautifully vivid. What is more, the scene itself is most compelling with the peaks looming the background.
I know the Norwegian fjord country from 3-4 cruises (on which I gave lectures), but I don't know Bodoe. One of my favorite areas is around Flåm, Maiden of the Falls. In what area of Norway is your town located?
Warm regards,
Bulent

Lovely blue hour photograph! I especially love how you have contrasted the cool and warm tones to make the city jump forward!
I wonder what a more panoramic crop would look like?

MmMm...Not bad.
It is wonderful to see the snowy moutain at the back.
Well done.
I think I like to visit Norway again.
Are those fjords worth to visit as well?
I only been to Oslo.

Jon,
Welcome to TE! You have done a great job of capturing the "blue hour" in this photo. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. The long exposure allowed for nice detail and color. The snow-covered peaks in the background add a nice touch to the photo.

Hello Jon
This is a great example to prove that the TE point system doesnt reflect the quality of the photos. The shot here have been viewed 1503 times and only 14 points. I think it deserves far more attention for a brilliant shot such as this -- excellent composition and exposure.
