Photographer’s Note
A shot from the upper gallery in the main hall of the Beijing Railway Station West. This is an immense building with lots of lots of room inside.
Otherwise it would get stuck as lots of Chinese people commute or travel by train everyday.
I did not use the my tripod here. I just placed the camera on the balustrade hoping it will work. It worked.
There was no-one on the upper gallery of the railway, the entrance seemed as it hasn't been used for a long time and I was wandering if that was okay to get there and not have trouble with Chinese guards.
Going up this stairs I already had this image in my head, all I needed was a place to take it from. Here it was...

Hi Michal,
Lovley motion shot. Good effect of the movement here. Nice colours and contrast.
Informative note too.
Cheers,

It looks like to me a photo full of expressiveness both in the technical aspect and in the sociocultural aspect of that country. The contrast of the movement and of what this one static with the approach and distortion of the image seems to me to be spectacular.
A good work.

Although if I look at it too long my eyes start to hurt, this is a really great shot. It's one of the best motion blur shots that I've seen here in a long time, and it has something extra which makes it even better in my view. I like the almost perfect symmetry, and how the men in the top corners, one clad in red and the other in black, add to the sense of balance.
A superb piece of work Michal.
Cheers,
Ben

Michal: your compo and shutter speed here get full marks. It couldn't be a better statement on the fast-fusion of this modus transportandi. Great eye. c

Great motion picture, making a very apealing graphical image. I really like the almost perfect symmetry that you have achieved. The two men at the top of the far escalators balance the shot.

Hi Michal, oh i see you know piotr angel, the shooter from antartica, the first picture that i added in my favorites pictures list was from him :)
This one you shot is really excellent, i have one almost like that in me recent posts from Paris, yours is terrific too, the geometrical aspect is a must and of course the motion is impressive, i see scenes like that everyday in Paris :(
Very good mister
