In this photo you can see one of wedding ceremonies in Russia - a break of utensils.
It is considered, that the break of utensils brings happiness, and than more splinters will be - than will be better. Very long time ago in Russia beat clay pots for the morning after the first marriage night, and the bride wake and swept them. If pots were not broken, it spoke about dishonesty of the bride and after it it was very heavy to prove the return. Such ceremony existed not only at Russian, it also can be met and in the Europe.
