Could not be better your picture and it say all the way you treated the subject. I love it. It has excellent colours and the blurred is simply fantastic. Well done.

Hi Guluzar!
I guess it's first time I'm seeing this photo (always have the feeling time is never enough). It's simply great, the colours (contrasting with ther lives?),the blur. I guess everything matches here and it's also a good homage to the Afghan women. Really well done!
Regards, Anabela

Hi Guluzar, a very emotive subject and treated well in this shot, a profound title. Vey good colours and definitely saying something about the world we live in. Regards, Jean

Hi Guluzar,
Impressive effect with these strong colours ! Well seen and framed. Interesting result.

Hi Guluzar,
Fascinating photo full of questions. How's life of these women? Has it turned any better lately? What does the future bring? What are their thoughts about photographer?
All this in bright pastel colours and tight composition. Slight lack of sharpness only seem to add on the atmosphere.
Kari

Important theme with beautiful and well done image, compliments Guluzar, I like the composition, colors and how you have processed this image, well done.
Have a nice day

This has is very colourful and with a strange effect, sort of slightly blurry which gives it a surreal look. Very nice

Simon

Stunning colours and lighting but a very dark subject. No-one should be another's property and ones sex should not determine a person's happiness. Great photo. Paul.

Hi Guluzar,
Colourful burqas and fantastic blury effect contrast so strongly with the life these women have.
Simply beautiful.
Delphine

Hi,Guluzar!
Great composition and colours!
Regards!
Yuri

Thanks for sharing a very nice photo. This is one of those rare images that attracts you by the colors, its brightness, then begins to turn the attraction into uncertainty when you realize what you are looking at. Well done!

Hello Guluzar
Excelelnt photo to make an excellent point. I find interesting the contrast between the colours of the burkas and the sad reality they represent.
Regards
Daniel

Hi Gulizar,

A dark life style imposed on people shown well by this colourful shot. Well done

I ' completely agree with you : )

hi guluzar,
very nice image, but i don't know the whole story behind this title...

fotoğraf güzel blur da hoş bir etki oluşturmuş renkler üzerinde
fakat kadının özgürlüğü açılarak mı olur sizce...
onlar dinlerinin emirleri gereği o şekilde kapalı duruyorlar.

Hi Guluzar,

Wonderful blur & colors. Thought provoking image. Excellent post. I look forward for more. Nice weekend to you. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Guluzar,

These are fabulous colours and really bright. What a contrast - the 'oppression' of the women in their burkhas yet the expression of colour at the same time. I must admit I have never seen burkhas this colour, especially in Kabul where they were mainly blue. Are these the true colours or is this artistic license? Either way it's a striking work of art.

well done ! recently on TE and already of the very strong photographs!

Freedom is not only a nice idea.
In our countries, this "idea" is so usual that we have forgotten his real meaning. This picture refreshes our memories...

Hi Guluzar..
this is great... the subject rules the frame...let the world open their eyes to see within themselves... the inner selves ...

Hi Guluzar. Good shot with bright contrasting colours. But the middle one, had it been a different shade, would have been better. I know that you don't have the 'freedom' to change it ! Lovely note too. Short abnd crisp. Keep sharing. Regards.

Very artsy, I love it! The simple composition, the striking colors, and the blur all work together to create the mood. They look almost like flower petals, an interesting contrast to what the true subject matter is. Very well done!
TFS,
Erin

C'est une photo qui fait penser à une macro de fleurs avec de très jolies couleurs et un peu de flou de mouvement. La réalité est plus sombre mais c'est une belle façon de la suggérer.

Hi Guluzar,

Yaaa nothing need to say... Just saying PERFECT... Ahhh keske..... detirtecek bir kare..

Hasan

Welcome on TE, Guluzar!
stunning shot with a sort of ethereal mood, surely it's the blur that also add dynamicity and then... what a colours!
It's sad to know that under those lively colours full of life there's a cage of coercion far to say that's ended.
A good homage to Afghan women.
Luca

I love the colors and the texture of this photo but can't quite agree with the statement about non-freedom. I live in Turkey now and women don't have to wear clothes like this but many do wear. But this picture's from Afghanistan... Well these women must be comfortable in these clothes, that protects them from the heat. Your picture makes me feel so. Moreover their eyes are protected. I think I am objective, cuz I am not a Muslim.
Some more technical comments: the compo's good, well-balanced. I like the motion of the fabriques in the wind. And the background is exactly the way it should be: it helps to feature the women figures.

Well captured.
Regards
Erhan

Hi Gulzar,
The lovely flowing colors do look like bright blossoms; I'm a littler unsure about the blurring; it looks like there are actually four women here. given the selection to the 'Three Graces' theme, perhaps I am wrong. Having been in California for much of my life, it is hard for me to imagine life behind a veil. HLJ, Pat

Superb colors and composition, the combination of pink and light green is very original and effective.

TFS,

Andreea

The first time I see a burka in another color than blue or black. Nice pic.

Hello Guluzar,
This picture is very strong. The association of these torture instruments and the nice colors they have shows it all... It demonstrates how easy it is to hide the unhuman attitudes in our modern world. I can't even stand the idea...
Congratulations with this contribution.
Best regards, Christian

Surprise! I've never seen the burkas such colorful during my stay in 2005. They might be a 'fashion' nowadays? Anyway your photo is great. Good composition of colors.
Is it safe to travel there now???
JS

hi Gulluzar,i saw your shot a few days ago,and i did not know what to say.then many people said the same thing so i gave up..
i like the shot which is very original and well treated.but i am not sure about the title..torture is a bit strong for an ancestral coutume.today wearing those clothes is an not ogligation, even if recommanded, many ladies wear it for convictions;and as we can see on your shot, the color black let the place to a "kind of faschion",so let time to time.a great shot anyway.cordialy.patrick.

In this picture I saw a four woman, with their burkas, is so nice and interesting, the different cultures in thsi worl, I like the picture and the bur and shine you make to give it the aparience to glow and make it more mystic to the pictue. The backgroun is so contrasting and the picture per se brigth.

Hi, Guluzar,
I like the way you have handled this photo. The colors are exceptional and I love the kind of glow they have about them. It is very hard to imagine having to live life under such harsh restrictions. I would not be very happy that way. Lovely photo. best wishes,

good shot

Dear Guluzar,
Welcome to T.E.
Just roamed through your brief, but very impressive gallery. Just a handful of pics with so many critiques. It speaks a lot about your talents.
This one is smply out of the world.
No words to describe it.
The word 'freedom' is present with different meanings in diferent parts of the world.
Unfortunately in some cultures it seems absent altogether
Hope to see more from you in future.
Regards.

Hi Guluzar,
I've been showing this photo to some afghan women friends of mine and they are really interested in knowing where to find these purpul and green burkas that are (according to them) nowhere to be found in Afghanistan and neighboring countries. As for me I'de rather want to know where I could find a cracked version of photoshop 3, I'm asking you as you seem to be quiet comfortable mastering it.
And yes, my (women) afghan friends are also a bit bothered about your title... There are not so sure what torture you're talking about and what "non freedom" you're refering to... But yes I'm sure you could enlight them about all that...
Cheers
Vincent

Hello Guluzar. Your Intro is impressing and unforgettable. In certain way this applies also to the photo "Torture of Non freedom". The intensive colors work like a signal. They show also unmistakably that these women do not have a face in the public. Thus the purpose of the photo is brought up for discussion and reached. Really protruding. Best regards, Wolfgang.

hey guluzar,

very nice colors and composition..
i really wonder if they ever tasted to memorize a place with their photos, how they can recognize themselves, only burkas but if everyone has the same color,oops.. :)
but of course, taking part in real life matters much more than taking in a picture, sad for them..
thanks for sharing

Merhaba Guluzar,
muhteşem bi kompozisyon yakalamışsın,
ellerine sağlık,
nilgün

Pretty colors! Great work with the blurring effect. Please do yourself a favor though, and change the title. Why is this torture? Many historical, cultural, and religious differences are at play here. Given freedom, they would still prefer these to sandals, capris, and sunglasses. Define freedom (in a non-Western sense)...

Çok güzel, renkli ve anlamlı bir kare. Ellerinize sağlık.

Impressive...
Colored burkas, blurred lives...
Well done, a good shot.
TFS,
Kind regards and my respect to all the women in Afghanistan !

ÇOK HOŞ SEVGİLİ GÜLÜZAR TEBRİKLER...

Hi Gulzar,
you took good advantage of "torture and non-freedom" subject.
Photographically, you choose a good subject, framing is good. Good color choice in the PS painting, but I would like more natural burqa colors. As three purple burqa probably togehter are as rare as "horns on a donkey" so to speak.
Also, freedom in truth is about letting people live the way they want, not the way I or you think they should.
Hasan

Vowwww!! Great picture. Colors are so beaustiful and alive that they are in perfect contrast with the women behind them. Wonderful composition. Congrats!

Hi Gülüzar,
Wonderful and meaningful shot with superb colors and composition. Blurred backgroung is powerful. Maybe, we have to criticise only photo but also, title and your note are so good, you're right, " Freedom is just a word. ". Impressive and well done job. Congrats,
