well, it would have worked better of you have a bit of flash for this shot. i did this technique too. using a very-very fast speed to capture ver-very fast movements. sometimes the result could be great, sometimes you delete it.

you talked about gardens, i think it would be best if you take a shot of water splashes on a flower with the other flowers in the background. you are doing quit well here. explore other skill too.
