Photographer’s Note
This was taken on Alcatraz, also known as The Rock. Alcatraz is an island located in the middle of San Francisco Bay. It has been used for several purposes over time, most notably as a high security prison for nearly 30 years. You can now visit the prison portion of the island by taking a ferry from the fisherman's warf in San Francisco.
This image was taken in the mess hall. I believe there would have been guards on the side of the bars where the menu is.
