Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken on the Sinai penunsula during my holiday in Egypt in the winter of 2007. What I particularly like about this pic is that it quite clearly shows what the Sinai desert is like. The photo might have been even better if there had been no road in it because then the photo would probably have looked more god-forsaken or natural if you like.

Also, you can see from this picture how poor the vegetation is on the penensula. On the horizon you can see sandy mountains which are one of those few things that you see all the time while in the Sinai desert. If you look closely at the mountain chain, you will see the shadows of the clouds stretching across the chain. I like it.
