Photographer’s Note

This small, functioning church is perched on the shores of Lake Tekapo on the South Island of New Zealand. It dates back to 1935.

Lupins flourish on the South Island. As you can imagine, the fields of purple and pink flowers were spectacular - and irresistible to a budding photographer!

This photograph was taken on film with a point-and-shoot camera. I can't remember if the shoreline was slanted. Rotating the picture made the lupins crooked and the church began to lean. Perhaps some distortion of the lens?

Picture was sharpened, and brightness and contrast were adjusted. No change to colour.

Would appreciate any suggestions...
