I like those colorful dyes in the round "barrels". The motion blur in her hand makes this more "women at work" shot. Nice mix of persons, too. I like this image very-very much. Very-very well done, Mimi.
Still, I just wanted to try a WS...

Another very TE shot from. Aspects of dying seem to keep cropping up in the gallery. There must be some relationship between this industry and economic development. As far as the compo is concerned, I like the the way you've caught the woman stiring, with movement in her hand. A pity about the woman between them middle distance, who is more of a distraction.

cette scène est vraiment très belle et les couleurs superbes. le sourire du personnage central en dit long sur ces simples mais toujours heureux de ce qu'ils ont ... Merci Mimi, pour cette scène de vie.

Great colours and composition. A daily life picture that I like very much. Beautiful that hat on the right

This is very nice. Colorful and interesting. Composition is good, although the background seems to be a little busy. Anyway, the dyes and the seller make up for it. This is very good work. Well done.

J'aime beaucoup également toutes ses couleurs et l'expression de la femme, son regard et son geste. Par contre le second plan aurait pu être estompé. j'aime bien le ws de Olli.

When I was in Pisac last july I saw no person selling dyes or any other sort of pigment (pehaps I was not at the right moment there), so this calls my attention because not even in Cuzco city I saw this. Where they organic or inorganic? I mean, do you know if they were meant to tint clothes or food?
As RGatward said, I think dyes have something to do with economics and development; modern societies have more colours than olders, because chemical aspects of syntetyzing compounds are better understood now than were before. Though some pigments are since long ago well known, as Indigo (blue jeans!).
A very classic moment of the Andes is depicted here, with the people in their usual clothes, and even women wearing hats. I think they mean some marital status, although I'm not certain if thats applicable for all places in this region.

Hi Mimi, as you see I´ve seen your picture of Peru and I really enjoy it as much as to feel like I have to fly there right now. Nice composition and a very dinamic portrait.
