Photographer’s Note

This is located in Robson Square in downtown Vancouver. I'm not sure exactly what it is, other than a neat piece of art. It's rather tucked away from the street. I quite like the framing it provides.

Whoa, looks like loony tunes, heheh. Good shot..but I don't like the view through the spiral..doesn't seem to fit..

I really like the angle you took this at. It makes it look like one of those tube slides in playgrounds. Great lighting and framing, but I agree that the view at the end of the vortex is quite dull for the setup you gave it. I guess the view from the other side of the spiral wasn't any better. Nice job anyways!

Good framing. I have to say I like that the view at the end is a normal scene. It gives a great contrast. It gives the feeling of being thrown through some strange vortex, Alice in Wonderland kind of hole. And then finally coming out and seeing something more familiar at the end. Very neat. Nicely seen and photographed.

Wonderful graphic image. Brilliant colours. I like the star formations in the hot spots. Did you use a filter or just a small aperture? Bravo!

Unique photo, I like the colour this artwork gives off, the texture of it and the subtle starbursts. Not bad at all.

I think it is a good night photography it is well exposed, but without the note I could not figure out what it was.

I know this spiral! Very cool pic, nicely set up and lit. The red spiral leads the eye in... but then... ? This really needs something at the end of the tunnel to complete it. Nice idea though Donald!

Impressive spirals! The lighting is also interesting. I wonder though if the background should be blurred to maximize the effect.

Very graphic image, reach by very beautiful colors in a universe little psychadelique before finding a certain serenity at the bottom(really)...

Really cool location, and a well executed photograph. Reminds me a little bit of those James Bond openings where you're meant to be looking down the barrel of a gun. This might be the perfect setup for a portrait with some wild side.
