Photographer’s Note

Whenever I go to some places and I come back and I see this church, I know I'm home. Especially when I see it from the window of a landing airplane.

It is called the "basilica di San Luca", and located on a hill named Monte della guardia. There are many legends regarding this church. One is that the image of Virgin Mary helped the city during a big fire. If engaged people go there, they will split in a short time. The arches that go from the city to the church are 666.... and so on!

che bella immagine della basilica!!
Bei colori caldi del tramonto ma soprattutto un'ottima inquadraturache lascia tanto campo al cielo, come a sottolinearne il legame con la Chiesa.

Brava Sabrina,
veramente bella questa foto. Mi piace la composizione con la basilica a riepire l'angolo in basso a sx e il cielo saturo di rosso al tramonto che riempie il resto del frame.
Bella la luce e i colori.

fantastico punto di vista e una calda tonalita' che ben si adatta al soggetto e al titolo. C'e' chi arriva a San Luca e chi arriva a San Marco sopra Venezia... (no punti, solo un'occhiata). Belle cose a te, Dario.
