Photographer’s Note
The Victora and Alfred waterfront...or the V&A to the the locals, is not only one of the favorite destinations for Capetonians, but is also the most visited tourist attraction in South Africa.
Surrounding this fully operational harbour, is an international standard shopping mall, many favourite restaurants and pubs, as well as some of the best hotels in South Africa.
Thousands of tourists also catch the speed ferries to Robin Island, from here, to view the prison cell where Nelson Mandela was inprisoned for 27 years, before being freed in 1992.
This photo was taken on a particularly still day, and I found the colours to be very striking.
