This is a very interesting piece of work. The ripples in the water are echoed by the cloud pattern in the sky. Both are broken up by the posts, which also link the two parts of the photo. Excellent texture and colour too, making this very lifelike and beautiful. I've got to make it out to the maritimes!

Hi John. I think the good sharpness has an appealing effect on the water. I'm guessing you ran the shot through Picasa to get the clouds to look like that. The sky has a 3d look to it. Nice one John.

Beautiful and very atmospheric capture of this place John. I love the angle with the ripples in the water - the title is very apt and sure adds to the attraction of the gestalt. There's a nice rhythm going on with the ripples and the poles and I like the darkish tonality too. Very nice.

I love this composition: the scattered clouds covering the sky are so attractive. The trunks provide an interesting foreground together with the fallen leaves which catch the eye thanks to their colour.
Good definition and depth.

Olá John, this is a less impressive landscape, but on the other hand it's a more creative capture, I think. This FG is very strong and effective. I feel like a duck floating in the gentle motion of the water. I like very much the closer pole and the clouds sure help to the beauty of the image. Excellent shot!

Another photo where you have found excellent light which has caught the poles, leaves and ripples beautifully. This kind of light gives the whole image a 3D appearance; we feel we can touch it. Great sky too.

Le point de vue rabaissé donne une belle dynamique inhabituelle dans ta photographie ! Les feuilles dans l'eau contrastent pafaitement avec la couleurs sombre de l'eau !

Hello John -

A nice image and pleasing on the eyes. The image is easy to look at and just drift off to another place. I do like the multicolored leaves floating in the foreground and the fair weather cumulus clouds against the blue sky. The late afternoon light really makes this image and I think it is what makes the image so peaceful. It looks like the image is slightly underexposed and over saturated and I am not sure whether that is a drawback or if that is what is making this image so pleasing to the eyes. Anyway, it is well conceived and executed.

Hola John.

May be the reason is the high compression, but the quality of the picture is not the best. It seems something like noise. At least in my monitor is what I see.

Anyway, it has a nice composition and is a good landscape.

The contrast of the deep blue water with the yellow grass and the trunks is fantastic and your image has a great depth.

I find your composition very interesting and original, in a almost diagonal shot, focusing the attention on the land located at the background!
