Photographer’s Note
When spaniards arrived in Cuzco they rebuild the town according with their desire, they used the old Inca foundations and build their new houses, churches and palaces over that old stones. In 1950 a terrible earthquake put down many colonial buildings and the inca´s stones were shown, the intrincate work with stones was preserved that way until today. Many of these buildings were adorned with sculpted animals like snakes. I found this carving in one of the narrow streets of Cuzco.
