From my dwelling I can reach the castle William height in few minutes to foot. In castle is a world-famous gallery of old masters. Occasionally one sees artists, who copy paintings.

Hi Wolfgang
Well very good photo and good POV
Well done.
TFS/Regards

Hello Wolfgang,
Nice shot of this artist at work; a question of artist capturing artist copying artist ;-) Good composition with the inclusion of the artist's equipment and the lady round the corner apparently admiring another painting. Fine b&w tones and very good clarity.

A classic photograph of painter in studio which reminds me of some of the BW photos of the surrealists back in the 30's and 40's.

Great Job.

Timeless shot, Wolfgang, moving in a quiet way. I like the care you put into composing this scene.
Classy shot.
best wishes,
Francis

This is a truly superb capture. For some strange reason it makes me think of Spitzweg!
Superb light-handling and great textures.

Funny, the walk of the woman. You'd almost think she's the buyer, waiting for the artist to finish his work. And I then mean the painter and not you ;-).

I know the noise adds to the authentical feel of the picture, but I couldn't resist and did a WS removing the noise.

Hello Wolfgang.
Interesting stroy told in this photograph.
First,
the grain is essential...taking it away, we have lost some of the character of this shot. I like to think of photos as memories; they are not always clear, but sometimes with grit and dirt of the ages...(grain).
I also like the repetition of the painter painting the painted.. I already see a deviation in the drapery covering the angel...
The woman is most important, she gives the shot a feeling of drama...why does she pace so?
Great photo.
Chris.

Hello Wolfgang
Great picture.
Nice composition.
The bw works well with the dark contrast.
Great job.

Jeff.

Hello Wolfgang,
Very nice composition with lots of interesting details to be seen. The artist at work, his working pallete, the paiting at his side and the lday walking by this room all fiting and composing a very nice photo.
The choice for B&W fits very well on this photo's mood.
Cheers.
Paulo

Many details in your picture.
Artist is been absorbed with his details, with a time.
Like many hands, pass by woman with backside hands, and big picture man in a trouble, with in a same position.
Maybe they just thinking, is this finnish yet? Very inspiring. Good and working composition.
Thanks Wolfgang.
