Photographer’s Note
This was taken from my driveway, on the first day without any snowfall for a 31 day period. The city of St.John's has had snow at some point throuthout the day, from a mild flurry to major storms.
As I stated in my post Bedding Down :
St.John's is not known for it's great weather and is listed by Canada's Weather Service as "Canada's Weather Champion". Of all the major Canadian cities, St. John's is the foggiest (124 days, next to Halifax's 122), snowiest (359 cm, next to Quebec City's 343), wettest (1514 mm, next to Halifax's 1491), windiest (24.3 km/h average speed, next to Regina's 20.7), and cloudiest (1497 hours of sunshine, next to Charlottetown's 1818 hours). It also has more days with freezing rain and wet weather than any other city.

Hi Rodney,
Quite a row of snowfall, and I see that some days there has come more than a few centimeters. It seems to be also a practical problem to keep roads open. Sunny and interesting shot. Could be brightened a little I think.

Bonjour Rodney,
Have a nice day..Well done..

Hey Rodders,
Lovely shot mate... I'm glad we don't get that much snow here!
Seriously though, great comp and colours, I love the shadows showing the low sun.
Well done.

Hello, Rod.
Intresting shot.
It reminds me a winter in Poland in 1979...cars could hardly pass beetween two "mountains" of the snow in the edges of the streets !!!
Best regards. Grazyna.

Wow this is a lot of snow !! Nice picture to show us the reality. I also like the houses that are not on the same level in the back. Thanks for sharing these stats, well done !

Hi!
That place is almost like Tromsoe! :-)
But I have seen higher "walls" of snow here, for example in 97 when we had 240 cm on flat ground.
Fine composition, and the cars are a good measure of snowdepth.
Probably good exercise to remove all of that snow for the people living there...
TFS
Regards,
Jon
