Photographer’s Note

I got stuck at Heathrow recently and had spend a few days in not the best of weather. Snow falls over St. Pauls Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge in central London. Airports were closed and some train services were canceled after heavy snow fall. I hope its got better. Atleast its got better for me here in sunny Colombo.

Great shot Steve! That Millennium Bridge with St. Pauls on the background always produces very striking photos. Love the touch of pink here. It goes so well with the gray scene. I know that the fog always looks gray like this but I like to overexposed it by on or two stops to get a more white feeling... I tried a workshop for you to see. It's just my personal way of seeing the fog. Your photo is good enough without it :) Thanks

A very nice image compositionally and stunning capture of this colour - I like Luis' 'cleaned up' version very nice too but the muddy reality of your version is London!! Cold, dull, northern skies.

Very nice compo and good POV almost on top of the bridge. I like the way you have captured the colors of the umbrella and coat of the woman. It adds the color and life to the fog and snow.

This is a great photo. It really conveys the feeling of a bitterly cold day. I like the way that the church provides an interesting backdrop without dominating the scene. The splash of colour provided by the woman's umberella keeps my attention in the foreground, where it should be.

Olá Steve, at least you took advantage of the situation. This is a great shot! The mirage of the impressive Cathedral is fantastic seen from this POV and the people in FG make a beautiful contrast. Love that human with the rose umbrella. If she was alone in there, this would be perfect ;-) although I love to see the snow on the dark clothes.

Hi Steve,like this shot with the two men in silhouette as they walk away from you and the woman in colour as she walks towards you.
Great atmosphere of a cold,miserable day in London.

You were extremely unlucky to experience the only 2 days of winter the UK has had this year. I love this shot with St Paul's fading into the snowy background. The people in the frame add to a wonderful image.
