Photographer’s Note
Although this little Downey Woodpecker is a daily visitor to that suet feeder, still there comes a moment of decision--how exactly do I get from here to there, while still maintaining my dignity? A flutter, a grab and it's done. Moments later, it's beak slathered in suet and seeds, it is oblivious to anyone flying in or out of the feeder atop the pole. Head always darting from side to side, comical little bird!

Hi Linda,
Good, sharp close-up of this little woodpecker. Your timing is perfect and light is just from the right direction.
