Photographer’s Note

Starting from Gampenpass (1513 meters), a walk through pinewoods and steep meadows leads to the Laugenalm (1863 meters), an old farm breeding about 50-80 cows which offers a warm meal to the hikers walking up to the Laugenspitze (2433 meters) during summer.
Here is the path leading to the top in the upper part of the Laugengroup: you can see in the background the cross standing at 2433 meters..
The whole walk from the Gampenpass to the Lauegnspitze takes about 3 hours. The last part of the hike is equipped with ropes.

Very weell used path, as the line leading to the centre of the cadre. Fine color of the sky, I wonder if the polariser gave such an effect, or half-nd filter?

The lead in lines & perspective are first class but sharpness could be increased slightly. A wonderful blue sky contrasting with the yellow green grass. Tfs!

La route est longue pour arriver au sommet, mais quel réconfort quand on touche au but. Pouvoir se restaurer, se reposer et admirer l'environnement.

There is a pleasing blend of tones and hues here that certainly remind one of late summer or autumn. I like the depth in the photo and the way the path leads the eye upward and over the mountain. Good clarity of detail, with the cross easily discernible. A nice capture, Samuele. Warm regards.

Good morning Sam -

I really like this image. It is simple and to the point and has some rather nice colors in it. The one thing I find is that it lacks something to hold my attention besides the colors. IMO, I think a colorful hiker would make this image jump off the screen. Just my opinion. Well done!
