Relief in Sight Photo

Photographer’s Note

The heat has been building up incessantly for about a month and at last relief is in view...trouble was these monsoon clouds arrived at dawn, forming rapidly in about ten minutes and then disappeared just as quickly.
Oh well, back to the bar for another refreshing beer.
Life is hard.

That is one crazy cloud, never seen anything like that before. Great shot. The boat adds to the composition very well.

Hi David,

That's a terrific shot which conveys a great sense of oppression.

The composition works pretty well with the boat giving foreground interest and a sense of scale, though I think it might improve the feeling of weight and oppression if you lost a bit off the top of the image. I might see what that looks like in a WS.

... I've tried that and it's an interesting result I think, but I've realised I can't post a WS. Ah well.

absolutely gorgeous! amazing colours and the texture on those clouds... looks more like a dust storm.. so menacing... and of course that sailboat (and the palm tree)...
