Photographer’s Note
Re-post job:
To the original picture I have increased the contrast and added the frame with brief description.
High up in the cliff, apparently accessible from just one side, Predjama Castle commands the surrounding countryside. Today’s castle clearly dates from the Renaissance; the date of its construction is confirmed by the coat-of-arms of its then owners, the Kobenzl family, from 1583. It does however conceal an older nucleus – a true cave castle, an impregnable refuge.
Historical sources prove that the castle existed in the 13th century and probably even earlier. It was administered by the Jamski family, who themselves came under the authority of an Aquilean gastaldia. The castle was notorious – as the hide-out of brigands – even before the time of Erazem Jamski (Lueger), who was the descendant of a knightly family from Lienz, vassals of the counts of Görz. After the Jamski family, the castle was taken over by Adam Purgstaller, while from 1567 onwards it was home to the Kobenzl family, who had it renovated. The last noble owners, from 1846 to 1945, were the counts of Windischgrätz, who were also responsible for altering the castle’s external appearance.Old depictions and descriptions – particularly from the last 200 years – prove that Predjama Castle was visited and admired by travellers who were not afraid either of dangers along the way or of the difficulty of access.

Hi Guido,
Your chosen POV is very good, composition & contrast very nice. It is a beautiful and very unique structure, amazing how it was built amongst all the rocks and trees!
I hope you don't mind Guido, I posted a workshop for you, just to remove some of the noise and saturate those colours a little.
Kind regards,
Costa.

CIAO, GUIDO
ciao, giacomo
