Photographer’s Note
While walking in the Ferriere park I saw this beautiful duck on the pond. As he was with a Mandarin duck, first of all I though it was the female... But while searching for Mandarin ducks on the web I realised I made a big mistake, it's not the Mandarin female. So I searched for this duck (thank you Google) and I found it's a kind of cousin of the Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata). It's a Wood Duck (Aix sponsa) and this one is a male.

Beautiful capture of this wood duck. Have you cropped this, or is it full frame? If you have more at the bottom, it might be an idea to include the full mirror image..
Wood ducks have beautiful colours, but their look is weird, nonetheless. The female looks different, but also weird ;-))

Fantastic! What a beautiful bird, I have never heard of the wood duck but it is even more spectacular than the mandarin duck I recon. Great sharpnes and great ripples in the water, and I love the softnes of the water in the background. Very well done!
