Photographer's Note

Heavy walls-breaking gun "Lion", made in year 1590 in Russia by famous gans-maker Andrew Chohov. Gun made for Tzar Theodor, son of Ivan the Terrible. Length of the gun 5,470 meters, weight 5,634 tons.
One of famous heavy guns of XV-XVI centuries, only several of them are preserved in the world. This one standing in courtyard of Artillery museum. Gun saw action in wars of XVI century and was taken by Swedes during siege of Narva in year 1700. Returned back to Russia in year 1778 and since then preserved as a relic.
