Photographer’s Note
This image is another of my perspectives of Mackinac series. It's hard to know what to say about this church- especially since the name escapes me. :) It is a quiet church on a busy tourist path- people heading up to view Fort Michilimac pass right by it and stop at the bark chapel across from it. Sometimes tourists don't know what they are missing. There is a local congregation at this church, and for them the church is part of their daily (or weekly) life.
I loved the light coming through the windows, and I left the window lights a bit hot to enhance the feeling of contrast between the bright outside and the serene and cool feel inside the church.

Hello Kristi,
I like your presentation of this lovely church. The lighting works well to convey a feeling of history, and I like the DOF from the back leading down the sole aisle to the altar. It is a simple but pretty interior.

The lighting here is wonderful - especially where it radiates from the triple ceiling - the stong contrast with the horizontal pews works very well. James

This for me is your best one, very atmospheric and I live the black and white although there does seem to be a little tilt to the image, or maybe its my eye sight.
Great image

Hello Kristi, is glad to know you and I congratulate you on this image in B/W of the interior of the church, believe that you have obtained perfectly the ambience of peace and calmness that is breathed in a place of worship, the light that enters the windows gives him the touch of mastery to the composition.
Congratulations.
Regards and see you soon.
