Photographer’s Note
I've been contemplating for quite some time if i should post this picture as this is taken at the esplanade in Singapore. Yet, i have no "durians" to show except shadows and figures. The esplanade is referred to as the durians by locals in Singapore because of it's structure.
I have no idea who this man is waiting for. When i left, he was still waiting. While he waited, i waited with him, waiting for someone to walk pass, to inject the movement i've been waiting for.........

Hello Sebastian!
I am glad you posted this picture, since I do appreciate Singapore in black and white myself!
Had a look at your other black and whites and you have some very nice pictures. Would love it if you could add more information on the picture wrt shutter speed etc.
7 years waiting... Does it still serve a purpose or did the waiting become a goal in itself?
Whoever you are waiting for, keep on making these nice pictures!!

Hi Sebastian,
Fantastic geometric patterns which I had work at to understand. I particularly like the fact that the waiting man in on the black shadow and the moving man in the light. I think it could have done with a little longer exposure as I think a more blurred figure would have accentuated the wait-versus-movement idea.

Hi, this is a very beautiful b+w shot. I like the way you managed to catch the light and the shadows. The lines are cool. The two people are placed very well.

Hi Sebastian,
I second brevbrev's comment -- this is ART .
the asphalt looks more like it were painted by an artists master stroke rather than by a work crew on some sunny afternoon..... it creates a very 3-D feel and you were very good to find/choose such a great spot.
i am not a fan of abstract art but as a piece - minus the people - this photo would be outstanding abstract....
quite obviously you are seeing things in urban landscape that i couldn't hope to comprehend.....this is outstanding Sebastian.

Steve

Hi Sebastian,
Good strong diagonals, interesting play of light and shadow. For a while I wasn't sure what this was. Interesting note to accompany an outstanding picture.
Best regards,
Lamberto

Hi Sebastian,
this capute is superb. I wish I'd taken it! I love the composition created by the light and shadow but mostly I love the moment you captured. We are all waiting for sth or someone in our life time and usually people pass by without even seeing us. Excellent!
Kind regards,
Jeri
