Colourful Campeche
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
In 1998, I made a 3.5 month round trip through Mexico and Guatemala. Starting in Cancun, we went counter-clockwise Cancun - Merida - Campeche - Veracruz - Mexico City, up to the area around Hidalgo del Parral and then down the West-coast towards Guatemala.
A beautiful trip, resulting in some nice pictures.
Added is a picture of Campeche (not Merida - thanks Alonso), which is an oasis of colours and tranquility after you arrived in the tourist-trap Cancun. Well, that was 8 years ago. Wondering if Campeche is still the laid-back place it was back then.
Picture made w analog SLR, slides scanned w Minolta Elite III slide scanner and adjusted in Photoshop based on the slide projection. The original scan is added in the workshop. |

Hi Dennis,
Nice projection. I got only a question: Is it really Merida? It looks very alike to Campeche City....only a question and sorry if I am wrong.

Alonso

Hello Dennis. A photo with strong graphic surfaces, forms and colors. Very abstractly and reduces to the most necessary. The blue and cloudless sky strengthens this impression still. Very interesting and well taken. Best regards, Wolfgang.
