Photographer’s Note
Nangaparbat - Naked Mountain, 8.125 m, ninth highest peak of the Earth, two weeks ago. Adventurers call it Killer Mountain. In spite of the winter not much snow in this part of Kashmir, like in Europe this year. The picture is taken from east at about 40 km distance from the Indus River valley near Chilas, a place that will disappear forever in next few years. No such view ever more possible! Harry up! My standpoint will be covered by 200 m of water of the new Diamir Basha lake behind the highest dam in the world.

A rare treat from you Amadej,
Yet a place added to the 'places to go before it disappears' list. And what a place. You had great conditions for capturing the mountain in its full glory comlemented by a beautiful cloudscape.
Best,

hey Amadej,
Well captured, I tried many times to capture this moment, but when ever I was there, the clouds were over the mountain thus leaving no chance for me to capture this scene. Well done excellent shot.
cheers

That is an excellent view beside the fact that the place will not look like this but suddenly it comes to my mind that when this dam will be constructed then the reflection of Nanga Parbat in water will again create the beautiful view may be more beautiful than this one.Because looking Nanga Parbat against dark blue waters will be something a treat to eyes. What do you think?
Snow is very little this year.
