Photographer’s Note

About Location:
One of Old Churches at South Moffateh Avenue, Tehran.

Motivation:
Once I was passing the southern Moffateh Street which is among the old districts of Tehran, where there are a lot of Armenian (Christian) population lived in past, I noticed to the golden reflex of sun on the roof of this old church. After different looks to this beautiful God house I choose this pov due to three Crosses which resembled The TRINITY issue in my mind.

P.P. Job:
I made Auto Adjustments on Curve, Contrast and Colors in Photoshop CS2, and also cropped some of extra spaces and added the frame.

Hi Javad,
I like the way the branches sort of naturally frame the building. Nice and sharp showing the great detail and I like your motivation for using the point of view that you did for this shot with the crosses.

Love your composition and the thought behind it .. the trees frame it so nicely .. I can't help but think you should do this again with a dramatic sky ..

p.s. I don't suppose you know the music of Alan Chakmakjian Hovhaness .. a favorite Armenian of mine .. (well at least his father was Armenian) .. built a whole style and life out of the study of ancient Armenian music (and then later a much broader ethnomusicology).

You bet I love your job. It's a beautiful capture of that wonderful church, nicely framed with the trees and with beautifully saturated colours.
Well observed, that Trinity thing.
I confess that it was a surprise discovering the location, as when I looked at it I thought it was somewhere in East Europe or Russia.

Hi Javad,
Interesting architecture for a Christian church ... if not for the cross, the top looks more of a mosque. Probably they have to make adjustment to the architecture to blend into a muslim environment. I like your POV and the representation you are portraying. Good use of the branch as frame ... but I noticed the photo os just a liitle tilted to the right ...possibly just nedds a 0.5 degree adjustment. Overall, good job and well done. TFS

Very nice capture of the architecture which to me has both Armenian and Persian influences. Great light on the golden roofs and nice, clear blue sky in the BG works great.
