Photographer’s Note

Photo taken during a late afternoon walk in Elliðaárdalur valley. I placed the camera on the railing of a bridge over Elliðaá river. The tall building in the middle is the hospital in Fossvogur, and the triangular building to the right is Bústaðakirkja church. I hope you enjoy this "less usual" view from the urban-surrounded valley containing Reykjavík's only river (that I can recall).

Hi Ari,

The good: beautiful tones ... in the sky .. and reflected in the water .. just gorgeous ..

.. the not great .. little bit of burnout in the sky .. and the darkness and softness of the near rocks ..

challenging shot .. into the sun .. not many could pull it off .. well on your way .. keep it up.

i disagree with john here. what he sees as oe or burnout in th esky is a condition that happens when the sun is on the horizon low. great color here and great use of light. excellent tonality in this composition.
