Ardh Kumbh 2007, Allahabad: This photo was taken during the Shahi Snan (The royal bath) of the Naga Sadhus. The Naga sadhu are in the water and the normal sadhus are outside the Holy Ganga waiting their turn to enter the waters. With fog in the background the photo to me lookis like a painting from the past. The camera man in the foreground reminds that we are in the digital age. For more visit

I really like how the red and orange cloth plays with the pink fog which swallows everyone up- it contains the whole scene with great effectiveness. Great work.

like this shot. the lone head on the right is an obstruction. except this, the shot is nicely composed, with great color tones.

Hello Tarun,
This is by far the best photo from you in this seris. Tho colours of the sadhus dress stand out through the fog.

Hi Tarun - the light is very special here, as is the haze, which combine to give a fine apocalyptic atmosphere, my only problems are the cameraman (personally I wish he wasn't there at all), and the strange thing floating in the middle of the sky.
