Nature enthusiasts have taken seeds from the fabulous Kvepene oak tree and have planted them in different important places of Latvia.
This oak tree is planted in the highest place of Latvia - 312 m high Gaizinkalns hill. His life would not be easy - this place is very cold and there is snow until middle April. |

Hola Gatis: When a person always fights for the life, demonstrating before the tempests, her strength, temper, will and capacity of survival, we appreciate it and we say that this person is"strong as an oak". I like illumination on the landscape, showing diverse tones of blue, the reflection with the white color is beautiful. Perhaps I would like to know a little on the existent approximate temperature in the moment in that you took this picture. Beautiful composition, appreciable illumination and great example of Life.

Interesting history here and your really helps me understand why you took the shot. What I like about the image is the strong blue cast making the snow feel even colder. I notice in many of your images 1 to 3 very strong colors and feel that this is something that I can learn from.
