The nineteen windmills at Kinderdijk are a symbol of the way the Netherlands manages its water. For a long period of time they kept the land dry as it was plagued by subsidence and flooding: the Alblasserwaard, once a rough, wet area of peat, was eventually colonised and reclaimed by men.

Indeed typical Dutch.
Eh..mooie compositie, door de molens op een rijtje te zetten, diagonaal, heb je mooie diepte gecreëerd! Helaas al een andere Kinderdijk plaat gezien vandaag..en deze was..tja..een stukje beter..dus ik kan hier even niet meer dan een goed voor geven, m'n oordeel is een beetje vertroebeld..
