Photographer’s Note
I was just browsing through some older photos from Thailand and wanted to share with you one from wonderful Tiger Cave Temple or Wat Tham Sua. It is located about 3km from Krabi town.
About 260 monks and nuns live in this temple. Tham Sua is a karst cave which is used as a temple and contains Buddha statues. The monks and nuns admire the great master Phra Archan Jumnean Seelasettho, who teaches a very old meditation technique called Vipassana.
This photo is not from the main cave, but from a smaler open-air temple close-by. This wat is an interesting place to visit, because you get very close to monks' every-day life.
At 1/60 shutter speed it was difficult to produce a steady shot and I did not have a tripod. Luckyly a small 1x2m monk's house provided me a quite steady wall to lean on to.
Postprocessing:
crop from the left side, adjustment to light with shadow/highlight tool on PS, resize, unsharp mask, frame

Very interesting, a perspective of monks daily life not usually seen. The shot is a litte busy for my liking but you PP is excellent and it really balances out.

Hey Lennart,
The colors are really really very good. Also interesting is the clarity.
Although if I were shooting it, even though I see there is hardly any space in the right, I would have still gone more to my right and had the line of clothes cover a better half of the frame.
Nonetheless, your photograph works well for me.
TFs,
Regards,
Durba
